The 311 Band was formed in 1998 in Omaha and they got their first taste of victory when their self-titled album hit it big. They have been rating high on the music charts. The band consists of Nick Hexum (singer and guitarist), Tim Mahoney (guitarist), S. A. Martinez (singer), P-Nut (bassist), and Chad Sexton (drummer). Listening to their music means getting a plethora of diverse sounds that all blends in to create a beautiful noise. 311 had produced three albums in Omaha, all of which were welcomed well by their fans sales wise.

The band soon moved to Los Angeles and signed a contract with Capricorn Records. Their first CD “Music” was released in 1993 and has now achieved a gold record. The second CD “Grassroots” was released in 1994 became a gold record as well. One of their most successful songs, “Down”, was released in 1996 and went up to the top of the Billboard Modern Rock followed by “All Mixed Up” which also climbed as high as No. 2 in the Charts. Most of their songs are on top of the charts and of the cash registers.
